Moamen Basel ("we", "us", or "our") operates the FeelNear - Couples Sleep Link mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Authentication Data

We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create a unique session for each user. This generates a random user ID. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information for authentication.

1.2 Sleep Status Data

The App transmits your current sleep/awake status to your paired partner in real time. This data is:

• Stored temporarily in Firebase Realtime Database
• Associated only with your anonymous user ID
• Shared only with your paired partner
• Not used for analytics, advertising, or any other purpose

1.3 Push Notification Tokens

We collect Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push notification tokens to deliver wake-up nudge notifications between paired partners. These tokens are:

• Device-generated identifiers used solely for push delivery
• Not linked to any personal identity
• Deleted when you unpair or uninstall the App

1.4 HealthKit Data

The App may request access to Apple HealthKit sleep analysis data to improve sleep status detection accuracy. This access is entirely optional. If granted:

• Sleep data is read locally on your device only
• HealthKit data is never uploaded to our servers
• HealthKit data is never shared with third parties
• HealthKit data is never used for advertising or marketing
• You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in iOS Settings

1.5 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Names, email addresses, or passwords
• Location data
• Contacts or address book
• Photos, camera, or microphone data
• Browsing history
• Any data for advertising profiles

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information exclusively to:

• Enable real-time sleep status sharing between paired partners
• Deliver haptic wake-up nudge notifications
• Maintain your pairing connection

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your data with third parties. Your sleep status is shared only with your explicitly paired partner.

We use the following service providers to operate the App:

• Firebase (Google) - Anonymous authentication, real-time database, and push notifications. Firebase processes data under Google's privacy policy and applicable data processing terms.

4. Data Retention

• Sleep status data is stored only while actively in use and is not retained historically
• Anonymous user IDs and FCM tokens are retained while your account is active
• All associated data is deleted when you unpair from your partner or uninstall the App

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL)
• Firebase Security Rules restricting data access to paired partners only
• No storage of sensitive personal information

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Revoke HealthKit permissions at any time via iOS Settings
• Unpair from your partner, which removes shared data
• Delete all your data by uninstalling the App
• Request information about your stored data by contacting us

8. Third-Party Services

The App does not contain:

• Advertisements of any kind
• Third-party analytics or tracking SDKs
• Social media integrations

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
